Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we can ask or image, according to his power that is in work within us (Ephesians 3:20)
The heavens continue to flow heavy, down pouring heavy rain. The flood gates are open, and nothing is stopping the move of God. No issue, no situation, no circumstances, no obstruction in our lives can withstand the rushing of the overflow from heaven. Signs, wonders and miracles identify the change in season; a new season is unfolding, it is called the season of “overflow”.
TThis season requires a Faith walk. Just simply believing. Roman’s 15:13 says this season we need to have a deeper revelation of the dimension of who God is.
Philippians 1:19 says I pray that your love will overflow more and more, and that you will keep on growing in knowledge and understanding.
Ephesians 3:20 closes with now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or image, according, to his power that is in work within us.
Get into the season! It’s time to overflow!
As you complete your registration, you will be ask to select your preference for workshops. Please keep in mind that we will try our best to place you with your first choice. All classes will be filled on a first come, first serve basis.
Below is a description of each workshop and general sessions:
Overflow Conference Sept 28-29th
Friday Night: Preparing for Overflow in Leadership:
This night is design for leadership in the ministry. In the season of overflow dance ministry leadership will focus in Christian leadership. In this workshop leadership will gain an understanding on how to make Christian decisions for the ministry, preparing self to lead the ministry with a purpose, teaching all levels, ministry structure, and more. It’s a night for the leadership to let go and prepare for overflow.
Morning General Session - Preparing for the Overflow:
Understanding of how to let go and walk in faith believing in God with our everyday life situations. Learning how to exceed the limits of worship. How to utilize dance as prayer. How to worship with saturated prayer and transform as the presence and power of the Holy Spirit pours overflow from the heart of God.
Overflow: Dance Technique:
To be able to use modern/jazz/and ballet dance techniques to define and build a body language that present the body as a living sacrifice in overflow.
Overflow: West African Technique:
To be able to use West African dance to speak to the language of our ancestors in dance and warfare. Understanding how to build confidence and endurance in the preparation for overflow.
Overflow: Pageantry Technique:
To be able to understand what it means to be on the front line of the army in worship. Bringing out the word of God with Flags/standards, banners, props and colors designed to rally the troops, and display dance as a color imagery in overflow.
Overflow: The Art of Prayer:
To be able to dance your prayer and understand it as an art form of speaking to God through movement. This class allows you to align yourself with worship and deepen your faith with prayer movements of overflow.
Overflow: Quiet Room:
This room is designed for those who need to sit with God, in meditation, journaling and prayer.
Closing General Session: Ministry as a Life Style:
In this session, everyone will gain an understanding on how to align your life style with the overflow that God has for you. Defining a purpose in your life and setting a path to move forward in that purpose. Each person will leave with goals, objectives and plans for their life and begin to dance into the overflow that God has for them.
Networking Luncheon (Optional):
Gain the opportunity to meet and greet others that are serving in the Washington Metro Area. Learn more about the National Liturgical Dance Network and how to become a part. Share in a Q&A panel discussion about the Ministry of dance.
